Net Of Hope - About us
Delivering Innovation & Resources to Those Who Need It Most
Who We Are?
Core Mission: Dedicated to serving underprivileged communities in Peru by supplying water through innovative fog catchers.
We are Net of Hope, an initiative based in Lima, Peru, founded by Gael Castrillón and Gustavo Sui, dedicated to developing fog catchers on the outskirts of Lima. After recognizing the harsh reality faced by many in our community, we are driven to make a positive impact by providing access to water through innovative fog-catching technology. In the “Conos,” the impoverished districts of Lima, residents face severe water shortages and are often forced to pay exorbitant prices for water. We aim to help these families by offering sustainable solutions to their water needs, improving their quality of life, and ensuring a more hopeful future. We firmly believe that everyone has the potential to contribute, therefore, we created Net of Hope during our Freshman year of high school, aimed at developing a fundamental issue within our society. What started as a simple idea between two friends, quickly evolved into a mission driven initiative. Through research, collaboration, and innovation, we strive to bridge the gap in water inequality, empowering communities and fostering a long-term positive impact in our society. Our current goal, throughout 2025, is to continue fundraising and participating in unique events, such as the Colegio Franklin Delano Roosevelt Kermesse. Beyond that, we strive to collaborate with local influencers, entrepreneurs, and businesses, with our clear goal of constructing our first fog catcher by September 2025. We are working tirelessly to make our ideas turn into a reality, shaping the lives of numerous citizens forever.

What Inspired us?
Over 1,500,000 individuals lack access to safe water in Lima
They bear a cost for water that is ten times higher than usual
Only 50% of Peruvians have access to potable water
The staggering reality of our beloved nation served as the main catalyst for our drive. After discovering the severity of this crisis, we felt an undeniable responsibility to take action. Witnessing the profound injustice of water scarcity within our society ignited our determination to seek solutions and create a meaningful impact on those most affected. This urgent need for change became our inspiration, driving us to develop innovative approaches to ensure that access to clean water is not a privilege but a fundamental right for all. Through Net of Hope, we are committed to turning this vision into reality, working hand in hand with affected communities to bring lasting solutions and hope for a better future.
